“The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is Invalid” why?

Some of the dlls required are not available (here it’s System.Web.Extensions)

  1. Check whether you have System.Web.Extension dlls in your bin directory
  2. Change your Application Pool’s .Net framework to the latest (.Net 4.0 as of today) for this application to the latest in IIS..Follow my screenshots below to change that..

You need to do this because the required dlls are available only with .Net 4.0 (in my case its 4.0)

Missed a lot of Microsoft Events because of late invitations?

Though I’ve always been a huge fan of Microsoft products and been working with them in everything,I have also suffered losses like this..

Note the event date and time and the time when the email was received.

I receive an email invitation at 4:00pm for an event that starts at 2:30pm and gets over at 3:45pm on the same day.

This has happened to me before as well…but didn’t blog that  and I don’t remember when right now.

Expecting more support from Microsoft…

Sharepoint 2010 -“The root of the certificate chain is not a trusted root authority”while setting up Text Messaging

Getting the following error on Sharepoint when you enter’s or’s url and clicking Test?

The following is what comes on event viewer…

Add your root certificate to the certificate store…

That’s the solution given on MSDN and on various forums on google. But unfortunately, its not working for me on a paticular server.

Contacted godaddy and Microsoft support…waiting for their reply.I’ll post an update on this soon.

Update:  None of those guys actually responded.

So,here’s the solution…Just figured it out..

First, open the this url on your browser..

You would see this..

Notice the lock sign (image) on the addressbar on your IE?

Click on that!

You should see the certificate details..

You would see something like this…

Double click on each certificate on that list and repeat the steps I’m going to show for each of those certificates.

Click on the  image tab

Follow the wizard…

Select image

Then, select where you want to save by clicking image

and hit image

Repeat the above steps for each of the certificates in the certificate path and save those certificates somewhere.

Importing certificates into Sharepoint

Now,we need to import these certificates into Sharepoint…

Open image

Go to image

Under image,click on image

Now,click on the image on the RIBBON..

You would see the Trust Relationship Window…

Provide a name and select each of those saved certificates..

Hit ok and we’re done with solving this error.

The end result should be something like this..

May your work be Blessed! Cheers!
