Problem:
Cause:
Some of the dlls required are not available (here it’s System.Web.Extensions)
Solution:
- Check whether you have System.Web.Extension dlls in your bin directory
- Change your Application Pool’s .Net framework to the latest (.Net 4.0 as of today) for this application to the latest in IIS..Follow my screenshots below to change that..
You need to do this because the required dlls are available only with .Net 4.0 (in my case its 4.0)

ReplyDeleteIn your web application folder in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\, try using a web.bak file as the web.config file.
